As part of the Data Science & Engineering products team you will work closely with the investment teams to design, build and support cutting edge machine learning and data science tools and frameworks. You will use some of the most advanced technologies and cloud offerings to automate their processes and maximize efficiency across the company.

• Build and maintain scalable, production grade software
• Support and troubleshoot live production systems
• Work across the entire development lifecycle; requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing and support
• Working with stakeholders to define requirements and documentation
• Monitoring performance and advising of required infrastructure changes and optimizations
• Collaborate closely with teammates to ensure consistency and maximize re-use of software components

Candidate Requirements

The candidate must be comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment with a passion for clean, scalable, reliable code and an ability to deliver high quality work in collaboration with colleagues in offices in North America, Europe, and Asia.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related subject
• 2+ years of professional software development experience
• Proficiency in Python 
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL technologies
• Experience working with basic to intermediate Linux commands
• Experience developing, scripting, debugging and analyzing performance of complex software projects
• Excellent communication skills
• Critical thinking: ability to track down complex data and engineering issues, evaluate different algorithmic approaches, and analyze data to solve problems
• Self-starter: ability to rapidly learn and apply new technologies as warranted by projects

 Preferred Qualifications:

• Cloud based experience on AWS or Google Cloud
• Experience with highly available distributed systems
• Experience working with large datasets
• Java, Spring and Hibernate
• Docker/Kubernetes
• Web application development using React or other JS technologies
• Experience with git or other version control technologies
